About Paul Salviani

I’m a registered psychologist with over a decade of experience, practicing since 2013; providing practical, focused psychological support via video or phone.

I work with a broad range of presentations, often involving overlapping or persistent difficulties that have not resolved over time. Sessions provide a space to talk through what is going on, make sense of it, and begin moving forward in a more deliberate way.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals involved in WorkCover and CTP claims, as well as conducting a high volume of psychological assessments, including cognitive (IQ), adaptive functioning, ADHD, and autism-related evaluations.

My approach to therapy is flexible and focused on understanding what is maintaining the difficulty, with an emphasis on practical, meaningful change.

A key part of the process is helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing through clear, practical psychoeducation, grounded in a strong understanding of how the brain works. Patterns like anxiety, low mood, avoidance, or intense emotional reactions aren’t random; they’re learned responses that develop over time.

Understanding this tends to reduce confusion and self-criticism, and gives you a clearer way to respond rather than just react. From there, the focus shifts to gradually changing these patterns, so you can move forward with more clarity, control, and stability.

I have also contributed to the development of emerging psychologists, including presenting to psychology students at Macquarie University.
